Project: Light and Noise Survey for AD1, AD10, Baltic, HI, SDM Jack up Rigs

Summary

Shelf Drilling contracted Melios Limited to carry out a Light & Noise survey of six of its offshore jack-up rigs operating in the Nigerian sector of the Gulf of Guinea.

The Noise survey was intended to establish the noise exposure levels at working and process areas, offices, and accommodation. The Light survey was intended to establish that there is adequate illumination across all working and process areas, offices, and accommodation to enable rig crew safely undertake their work during normal and drilling operations.

Melios experience and expertise were vital to delivery of a detailed Light and Noise area mapping for the rigs, highlighting areas of significant exposures. This led to the provision of value adding recommendations based on the gaps that were identified.
