NUPRC Approves Melios' REVARS Software Solution

Following a rigorous review on Melios’ revolutionary barrier management software, REVARS, has officially received approval from Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).

Beginning in 2018, REVaRS was born out of six decades of joint expertise in technical and process safety, designed to graphically represent failing critical barriers and assist in risk management. Since its inception, the system has been implemented in more than 8 offshore and onshore facilities across multiple nations.

On 22nd May 2024, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, after a careful evaluation, confirming REVaRS meets all necessary standards granted a Pilot Approval to deploy the Risk Exposure Visualisation and Reporting Solution (REVaRS) in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry.

REVaRS features Dynamic Barrier Monitoring, Scenario Simulation, Cumulative Risk Evaluation, Maintenance Prioritization, ALARP Demonstration, Risk-Based Decisions which are beneficial for managerial use. It allows users to enable or disable equipment and human barriers.

With this approval, REVaRS can now reach a wider audience and new markets. We are committed to ongoing improvements and the addition of new features.
